Puppy/Kitten Visits

Congratulations!  We are so excited for you, and can’t wait to meet your new puppy or kitten!  THANK YOU for trusting us to help get your newest family member off to a great start!

The first few months are incredibly important to the development and long-term health of your puppy or kitten, as they can be at risk of contracting serious diseases until they’ve received a series of vaccinations, and will most likely have parasites that need to be treated.

Let’s address the parasites first:  most puppies and kittens have roundworms, which live in their intestines and can cause a number of problems.  DON’T FREAK OUT!  This is perfectly normal, and easily treatable, but it’s important to address the problem early.  Not all pets have symptoms, but parasites can give puppies a seriously upset tummy and can cause weight loss, coughing, and bloating in kittens.  Roundworms can also be transmitted from pets to humans, so early treatment is important to protect ALL of your family members!

Puppies will need a series of vaccines to protect them against rabies, parvovirus and distemper, and kittens will need protection against rabies, distemper, and feline leukemia.

At your first visit with your new pet, our team will also provide you with information and support, from nutrition to basic training, so that your puppy or kitten can become a healthy, well mannered, and cherished companion!

We look forward to meeting your newest bundle of joy, and to celebrating many Milestones with you and your newest family member!
